The team at howtoplaydhol.com has been slogging away for literally the last 6 months working on something that has the potential to propel unlimited benefits for the worldwide dhol community.
Can’t get into too much detail now (as the product team is on my ass!), but we are giving away $500 worth of product / service material to 5 lucky people.
To enter follow these instructions (we will assume you have added How to Play Dhol on Facebook, if you haven’t make sure you do):
1) Send How to Play Dhol a message with your first and last name and the subject title: ‘product giveaway’
2) Update your facebook status to ‘ @ How To Play Dhol, I want to win the howtoplaydhol.com $500 giveaway’. Simply copy and paste the above in your Facebook status bar which will tag our account so that we can verify with the private message.
If the tagging of our name doesn’t come up in blue font, simply start with ‘@’ which will then prompt you to type in the How To Play Dhol name. Once successfully tagged it will turn blue.
3) Wait and hope that you are one of the lucky winners!
Stay tuned in the next week or so where we will announce the lucky winners and good luck to you all
Hello everybody!
The first song will be posted up tomorrow (Sunday our time) which is Saturday US & UK time.
From there, we will be taking in comments etc and post up the actual beat by mid-week.
Stay tuned.
We have been receiving a lot, and I mean alot, of requests in relation to bhangra songs that are out at the moment and how to play dhol alongside them.
So over the next few months we are going to be running a series of blog posts only on howtoplaydhol.com which will have the corresponding beats played.
But, we want your input too!
So,
1) If you have a particular beat from a song you would like to request – post up a comment specifically asking for the beat and within what time range as well as the link of the song on YouTube.
2) For those of you who want to contribute and show off your knowledge, feel free to submit your version of the dhol beat as a comment under that specific blog post.
Get ready, the first one will be up in a couple of days.
